Chemawawin’s Health Authority offers an array of Health Programs to assist you and your family in creating a healthy lifestyle mentally and physically. Our staff are available to assist you in the following areas: Diabetes Education and Nutrition planning, Prenatal Nutrition and Education, Addictions Education and Counselling, Tobacco Control and Education, Medical Transportation for Rural Doctor Appointments, Jordan’s Principle Services, and more.

Primary Care

Chemawawin Cree Nation has Primary Care Services available through our local Nursing Station. The Nursing Station staff can help you with all non-emergent and emergent hospital like care. The Nursing Station services are available for both Easterville residents and Chemawawin Cree Nation members. The Nursing Station is located on Arena Road next to the R.C.M.P. station. Nursing staff are available 7 days a week for emergent care, and can assist in organizing emergency transfers from the Nursing Station to nearby hospitals when needed. On weekdays a doctor is available by appointment for regular non-emergent visits. 

Mental Health Services are available through the Nursing Station by appointment. Our partnered Social Worker offers several types of counselling. Please call the Nursing Station to be connected to our Social Worker for more information on all Mental Health Services available.

Homecare and Homemaker Services are available by request through the Nursing Station. Please call the Nursing Station for more information.

Quest Health

Clinic Care and Mental Health Services are available by appointment through Quest Health both in Chemawawin Cree Nation and in Winnipeg. Quest Health has several doctors and partnered specialists to assist you with all non-emergent health problems you may be facing whether newly occurring or chronic. Our team of doctors and specialists are well equipped to work one on one with you to find a solution to better your health.

The Quest Mental Wellness Program can assist you with all forms of counselling or mental health treatment. Their team of Social Workers and a partnered Psychiatrist are available to assist you on your mental wellness journey no matter how big or small. All Quest Health Services can be booked by appointment through calling Quest Health’s administration team.
